Hi all,
running FEAT from FSL-4.0.4-1 (Debian lenny AMD64), I have had occasional
FLIRT failures on "example_func" to "standard" registration, even after
trying everything from the FSL HOWTO. Most often, the registered brain ended
up "frontside back" with cerebellum thrust into the frontal lobel. If
anybody wants to try, one such example is available in
http://fmri.upol.cz/fsl/DM-CDP-014.
Having given up, I asked a colleague to try for me the MNI registration
tools (which I have not seen packaged for DebianAMD64). He used the ICBM_152
template and produced a registration matrix in XFM format.
This FLIRT refused to accept with an error
"Cannot read MINC transform files with finalvol"
but
convert_xfm -omat transform.mat transform.xfm
worked, though I had to manually append a "0 0 0 1" line before FLIRT took
it for "-init".
Anyway, the resulting transformation is clearly wrong also and I wonder why.
My colleague sent me overlay pictures from MNI showing a nice match.
Has anybody had experience with such MNI-FSL combination?
Thanks
Petr
