IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE MASTERS AND POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA IN FORCED
MIGRATION STUDIES COMMENCING SEPTEMBER 2008
OBJECTIVES
The course is intended to give academic recognition to those who have
studied or researched the emerging field of forced displacement. The
students will be equipped with analytical and research skills necessary
for enhancing their professional or academic careers through a
multi-disciplinary approach. By the end of the course, students should
have a broad and in depth understanding of the difference between forced
migration and other forms of migration and the global and domestic
processes that underpin such migration.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
In addition to the common regulations for admission to the M.Phil
degrees of Moi University, applicants may be required to meet specific
departmental requirements. Applicants should have at least a first degree.
DURATION OF THE PROGRAMME
The programme is by of course work, Examination and Project and shall
normally extend over a period of two years distributed into two
semesters per academic year. PGD is one academic year or two semesters.
The course will be offered in both our Eldoret and Nairobi campuses.
