It's decidedly mixed in tone; she's with us, but she does constantly refer to us as "the disabled" (journalists still have a lot to learn, apparently) and there is a bit of irony in there, too, which may be a bit impenetrable for some.
I wasn't sure if she was on our side or not, right up until the end of the article.
