Cfp: Special issue of the Computer Journal on HCI
Deadline: abstracts by 30 September 2008, full papers by 31 October
2008.
The Computer Journal publishes research papers in a full range of
subject areas, as well as regular feature articles and occasional themed
issues to enable readers to easily access information outside their
direct area of research. The journal provides a complete overview of
developments in the field of Computer Science.
The Journal is now inviting submissions for a special issue on
human-computer interaction. We are seeking articles describing research
across a broad range of topics, from the psychology and sociology of
interactions, through novel technologies for interaction, to
applications and case studies. Contributions across the whole spectrum
of HCI are welcome, but we are particularly looking for work with clear
practical implications.
Papers should be 5,000-10,000 words long, and authors are invited to
submit an initial extended abstract of up to 1,000 words in the first
instance. The abstract and any other enquiries should be sent by e-mail
directly to the editor of the special issue, Peter Robinson
<[log in to unmask]>.
More information about the Journal is available at
http://comjnl.oxfordjournals.org/, where there are also links to further
instructions for authors. Submissions should be made through
http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/compj with a title starting "HCI:" to
mark them for consideration in the special issue.
