Dear Fellow Humboldtians,
The annual meeting of the UK Alexander von Humboldt Association will be
held at the University of Warwick on September 19th 2008.
Details of the meeting, travel to the venue and registration can be
found at <http://www.warwick.ac.uk/go/avh08>.
We are still in the process of finalising the programme which will be
updated regularly on the website.
Along with major speakers we would like you to consider presenting a
short talk on your work. Please email the local organiser, Ruldolf
Roemer <[log in to unmask]> directly with details and indicate
whether you would like to speak for fifteen or thirty minutes. Please
note that the registration fee *will be waived* for Humboldtians
presenting their work who are currently on a Stipendium (e.g. Feodor
Lynen Postdoctoral Fellows) have recently returned from their Stipendium
(within three years) or do not yet have a permanent position.
Your registration will be considered complete on receipt of the £35
registration fee which is to help defray costs of room hire and catering.
I apologise for the relatively short notice but nevertheless hope to see
many of you there.
Yours,
Stephen Ashworth
