Research Fellow: Image Analysis
BioSS, Edinburgh
Salary £26,088 - £28,986
Biomathematics & Statistics Scotland (BioSS) seeks a researcher with
state-of-the art knowledge and experience of image analysis, to develop
methods and algorithms for automatic measurement of features of growing
crops. This is an exciting, challenging opportunity for someone with a
PhD, or equivalent experience, in image processing or analysis.

The project is a key component of SPICY (Smart tools for Prediction and
Improvement of Crop Yield), a newly funded EU-FP7 project, whose aim is
to develop a suite of tools for molecular breeding of crop plants. The
post will be based in Edinburgh, but will involve close collaboration
with Biometris, The Netherlands.
