provides funding for this conference beyond that from registration fees.
Call for Abstracts for Invited Presentations
Researchers are invited to submit abstracts for consideration as invited presentations for the conference.
Applications of Bayesian statistics in clinical trial design and analysis, health policy, epidemiology,
and related topics will be considered.
DEADLINE for submission of abstracts: September 1, 2008 to [log in to unmask]
Applicants will be notified of the Program Committee's decision by October 1, 2008.
Possible Topics of Invited Presentations:
Comprehensive decision modeling
Prior distributions in clinical studies and drug development
Practical issues in conducting Bayesian clinical investigations
Bayesian methods in epidemiology
Bayesian methods in health care services and policy
Bayesian methods in genomics and bioinformatics
How to build a cadre of Bayesian experts
How to assure good quality in Bayesian methods
Guidelines for publishing Bayesian analyses in medical journals
Registration Fees (in U.S. dollars)
General registration $300
Student registration $150
Registration fees cover:
Conference sessions and presentations
Printed handout materials
Daily continental breakfast
Boxed lunch Monday and Tuesday
Monday evening reception with hors d'oeuvres
Travel grants of $500 will be awarded to qualifying
pre-doctorate students. Awards will be determined
prior to the conference, and funds will be mailed to the recipients after the conference concludes.
Awardees must register and prepay for the conference.
