SENIOR DATABASE MANAGER/ANALYST
Grade 7: £27,466 - £33,780 p.a.
CTSU is a world-renowned centre for research into the causes, prevention
and treatment of common diseases such as cancer, heart attack and stroke.
Currently, we are undertaking one of the largest ever prospective studies
to assess the environmental and genetic determinants of chronic disease in
500,000 participants in China (The Kadoorie Biobank Project).
An experienced database manager/analyst is required to join an
international and multidisciplinary team to provide central data
management/statistical support for the project. You will have
responsibility for the central management of the large and complex study
database, including ensuring the integrity, security and regular updating
of the datasets. You will write complex queries, manipulate and prepare
datasets and work closely with other researchers on detailed analysis
using standard and novel statistical techniques.
You should be a numerate graduate with substantial experience of
manipulating databases, carrying out statistical analysis of large
datasets using SAS or a similar statistical package and demonstrate a well-
structured approach to large tasks. Previous applicants need not reapply.
