Hallo everyone,

My name is Armaou Maria. I'm contacting you in order to inform you about my
research project on the relationship between the strengths of character and
subjective well being of secondary school teachers that is being undertaken
as part of my MSc degree in Occupational Psychology; within the Institute
of Work, Health & Organisations (I-WHO), which is a postgraduate institute
of applied psychology at the university of Nottingham.

This e-mail is a call for participants. My target population is
secondary/senior school teachers in UK. You'll find also attached the ethics
approval form I received from my department on a headed paper and the
following letter-call for participants.

For the next two months, there will be an on-line survey, in which secondary
school teachers need to complete:
a) the VIA Signature Strengths Survey and
b) two brief questionnaires regarding their subjective well-being and job
characteristics. This will take approximately 35 minutes.

I'd appreciate if you could possibly inform any of your colleagues about
this research.

The aim of this research is to explore the occupational pattern of character
strengths and the degree to which they can predict life satisfaction. In
order to do so, the personal patterns of character strengths are explored;
as well as their relationships with a variety of job characteristics.
In order to participate in this survey they only have to visit the following
web site addresses:

a) http://viacharacter.org/TakeVIASurvey/tabid/55/Default.aspx

b) https://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=Ka63EM_2frczed3O9CRw6nOQ_3d_3d

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE PARTICIPANTS

a) For the first link (viacharacter.org website-VIA Survey Center) you
should register entering the research code of MAR002 in your profile
(http://www.viasurvey.org/Register.aspx) and select the VIA Signature
Strengths Survey; as the official on-line administration of the character
strengths scale is being done through the VIA Strengths Institute.
Participants' responses will be aggregated for me only. This will take
approximately 30 minutes to complete. There are no wrong or correct answers.
All responses are confidential and will only be seen by the researcher
conducting this study.

REMEMBER TO USE THE MAR002 RESEARCH CODE FOR THIS PART OF THE SURVEY AS IN
ANY OTHER CASE YOUR RESPONSES WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BE CALCULATED FOR THE
PRESENT RESEARCH!!
IN ORDER TO DO SO ENTER THE CODE: MAR002 IN THE TAB THAT SAYS "IF YOU ARE
PROVIDED WITH A RESEARCH CODE PLEASE ENTER IT HERE"
YOU WILL FIND IT IN YOUR PROFILE IN THE VIACHARACTER.COM WEB LINK

b) For the second part of the survey you will be redirected to a web-survey
designed and run by me, where there are short questionnaires, regarding
teachers' subjective well-being, job characteristics and demographic
information.
This will take approximately 5 minutes.
Other than that, all questionnaires ask about participants own
experiences.
Participation and completion are entirely voluntary.

For any additional information about the research you can contact me
directly at the e-mail addresses: [log in to unmask] or [log in to unmask]
or on the phone number: 07794146181

Kind Regards,
Armaou Maria
