This may confuse a few people on the list who are based outside Queen Square.
SubVersion is the system we use for controling the development of SPM, and
SPM8 is the version that we are currently working on. Local people can
obtain access to the the most recent updates, fixes etc via the SubVersion
system, but the rest of the community is not able to do this (firewalls etc),
and has to rely on the official downloading route via the web pages.
If you are local (FIL or ICN), then this web page will help:
http://www.fil.ion.ucl.ac.uk/spm/local/svn/
