Learning Lab Showcase Event: a journey through the world of mobile and
emergent learning technologies
Date: Wednesday 17th September 2008, 2.00-6.30pm
Venue: Learning Lab, Telford Campus, University of Wolverhampton, Priorslee,
Telford. TF2 9NT.
The Learning Lab is pleased to introduce its first Showcase Event, designed to
offer delegates an insight into current and emergent learning technologies and
how these are being applied within education and training. Technologies such
as podcasting, gaming and context aware systems will be discussed, and a
raft of ‘gadgets and gizmos’ will be demonstrated that are, or will be,
influencing learning and teaching over the next few years.
With technology now a core ingredient in the learning experience, this event
aims to challenge delegates to consider how innovative solutions can enhance
the learning within their organisations.
Who is it for?
The Showcase Event is aimed at anyone from the education and training
sectors who is using technology for training, education or the support of
learning. The event will particularly appeal to ICT directors and co-ordinators,
teachers, lecturers, training managers, e-learning vendors and anyone else
involved in the selection, utilisation or management of ICT within their
organisation.
