Dear ILL folk
I thought I'd add my little bit! The legislation doesn't say that they
have to be kept for any specified time so there is an argument that we
should keep them forever. However, since we need room in our libraries for
other things it has been generally accepted that we treat them in the same
way that we treat financial documents, e.g banks keep our cheques for 7
years, so this is where the 7 years comes from.
Happy summer hols to all too!
