I quite like LAMS, especially the tutor tracking, however lots of colleges
and universities that I have come across aren't using it which is a shame
(seeing as it is free and integrates quite nicely with Moodle).
Although LAMS has a visual interface for the tutor, the output is very
sequential (and linear) which in certain learning situations is desirable,
in others less so, and especially for older learners where they want an
element of choice about how they learn, the forced sequential nature of LAMS
may not be the best way of doing things.
Even so - for people not familiar with LAMS worth checking out, and if you
have seen it in the past and not been impressed, have a look again, as it
has changed lots since its earlier versions.

Have you tried using LAMS plugged in to your VLE?
