Hi,
Has anybody ever used the 'optimal photometry' in GAIA to perform PSF
photometry on point sources in an image? After loading an image into
GAIA, click 'image analysis', choose 'optimal photometry' and then
'results in data counts'.
I am trying it on a FITS image which has MJy/sr as a brightness unit.
Does anybody know what the flux unit is in the results tab of Optimal
Photometry in this case? Photon counts, Jansky? I deliberately picked
the 'results in data counts' option, so it shouldn't be in magnitudes.
Cheers,
Matthijs
