Hi All
I'm just wondering whether any you have guidance/policy/procedure on what
your company/organisation does as best practice in terms of whether
individuals should be allowed to opt out of on-call and/or night duty after
a certain age, or whether it is advisable to make it indicated on health
grounds only, and therefore no age difference (a possible age
discrimination concern??).
The question has arisen in my organisation in relation to healthcare
workers, although we do have other staff who work oncall duties after hours.
In my current role I have, on an individual basis, recommended exemption
from nights in relation to a health (DDA) condition.
Thank you
Carolynne Davey
