Journalism posts:
The Department houses a nationally recognised Centre for Journalism,
of which both appointees would be a member.
Post 1: The Department wishes to appoint a 0.4 FTE post to start by
September 2008. You will be able to contribute to the teaching of
practical journalism on undergraduate and postgraduate courses,
accredited by the NCTJ. Extensive knowledge of practical journalism,
particularly media law, is essential and previous experience of
journalism teaching or training would be an advantage. Please quote

Post 2: The Department wishes to appoint a 0.6 FTE post to start by
September 2008. You will be responsible for Teeline shorthand tuition
to undergraduate and postgraduate students of practical journalism. It
is essential that you have extensive knowledge of the practical
application of shorthand, together with a strong track record of

Arts & Cultural Industries Management posts
You will have a good honours degree in an appropriate discipline, plus
a higher degree or appropriate professional qualification/experience.
You will have experience of teaching at relevant undergraduate level
or professional training. You will be required to supervise
undergraduate dissertations and to work with the team on curriculum
development.
Post 1: This post will have a specialism in Media Management. The
successful candidate will deliver undergraduate courses in Media
Industry Management and Research Methods on the BA (Hons) Arts
Management programme. A practice based understanding of the cultural
industries and experience of working within the cultural industries
