Are there any Library staff out there in the East Midlands who would like to
help celebrate the opening of the Derby Quad centre in the next few weeks?
Please look at the forwarded message below. Bill Drummond (formerly of the KLF,
famously burned £1 million in a 'happening') is coming to Derby to record
various groups of 17 people singing a single note, which will then be merged
with all the other notes being recorded, and played back as a piece of music on
one night in August only. You don't need to be a great singer, and it doesn't
matter what kind of library work you do.
I need 16 other Library people to help form a group of 17 Library Workers. You
need to be interested, reasonably available over the next few weeks, and want to
take part in a unique event which will be special to Derby.
If that's you, please let me know - I will sort out availability of dates and
times later.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Heather Watkins
