and suitably qualified information professional to join the team
providing library & information services to staff within the Trust.
This is a varied role, working across a number of libraries within the
Trust, and delivering the full range of library services to Trust staff:
answering enquiries, training & supporting users, promoting the service,
and developing and exploiting the collections. You will also have the
opportunity to be involved in a number of cross-organisational projects
as part of the ongoing implementation of a citywide NHS library
development strategy
Educated to degree level and with a professional qualification in
Librarianship, you will need to have excellent communication skills,
well developed IT skills, experience of using electronic resources in a
library environment, and must be able to work both independently and as
part of a team.

Post reference 298-COR149 - Library Assistant - Band 3 - 37.5 hours per
week - Closing Date 4/07/2008
The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust requires an organised and
enthusiastic individual to join the team providing library and
information services across the Trust.
You will recognise the importance of a quality Library and Information
Service being available to Trust staff, and want to contribute to
developing that service. You will support the librarians in providing
library & information services across all libraries within the Trust.
You will provide first-line assistance to library users, as well as
carrying out the full range of day-to-day library duties.
Ideally you will have previous experience of library work, and an
appropriate qualification would be an advantage. You should be able to
communicate well with people at all levels and from all professions. You
will need to demonstrate good IT and customer care skills, must have an
enthusiastic and flexible approach to work, and be able to work without
close supervision.
