Dear all, with the usual cross-posting apologies,
We're looking for someone to take up the post of User Services Librarian
at the RCS Library. The role will involve taking on responsibilities for
delivering day-to-day College library services and ensuring their
effectiveness; working within a library-led team of information staff
and clinicians to share in the management and development of the
National Library for Health's Specialist Library for Surgery, Theatres
and Anaesthesia; and assisting with the development of the library's
electronic environment.
The details and application form can be found at
www.rcseng.ac.uk/about/working/index.html?vacancy_id=660 . The closing
date for applications is Friday 27th June, and we're planning to
interview on Tuesday 8th July. As mentioned in the details, it's a fixed
term contract until the end of March 2011, with a planned starting date
of Monday 1st September. There will also be an advert in the CILIP
Gazette/lisjobnet from 13th June.
If you'd like to find out more, please feel free to get in touch with me
for an informal discussion.
Tom.
