Hello
The usage of our Off Campus Service has dramatically increased over the
past 12 months. The take-up of the service and the number of postal loans
we send out to students has increased by over 50% and I wanted to see what
services other Institutions provided for their Off Campus Students and any
financial implications these may have
1. Number of students eligible to use service and how many take this up
2. Pricing - do you charge for postal loans, return of postal loans and if
so how is this charge set?
3. Loan rules and limits
4. How do students register as Off Campus Students - via University
Enrolment/ apply to become a member via online forms etc
5. Do you have dedicated Web-Pages - what content do you have on these
6. What Services do you offer to these students - postal loans/ postal
inter library loans/ document supply/ renewals/ reservations/ study
support etc? Are any of these charged for ?
7. How are enquiries handled? - directly by the Off Campus team/ by a
Central Helpline/ Help Desk or other? Please comment.
8. How do you conduct feedback - in what format is this done? Face-to-
face, questionnaires, online etc
9. Do you have any Outreach Centres - How do you deal with any problems
regarding staff/ return of items etc
10. What is your Returns procedure for returning Postal Loans?
11. What kind of statistics do you feel are essential to keep, apart from
Registration of Users and Postal Loans sent out?
I will summarise any repsonse for the list. If any queries could be sent
to me at [log in to unmask] by 27th June, i would be grateful.
Many Thanks
Mark
