Hi,
Apologies if some of you have already seen this, but I thought some list
members might be interested in this forthcoming change of platform for one
of the key medical journals.
SANTA CLARA, California and Waltham Massachusetts.-May 22, 2008- Atypon
Systems, Inc., a leading provider of e-publishing solutions, signed an
agreement today with the Massachusetts Medical Society (MMS), to develop a
new website for the delivery of the New England Journal of Medicine and the
Journal Watch professional newsletters.
Atypon's considerable experience in providing leading scholarly publishers
with sophisticated and flexible e-publishing solutions will provide MMS with
a highly customisable platform that will engage the user more effectively,
provide enhanced reporting capabilities, and deliver increased value to
readers of the New England Journal of Medicine.
"Our goal is to continuously strengthen our relationships with our physician
readers," said Christopher Lynch, Vice President for Publishing,
Massachusetts Medical Society. "Atypon's platform will give us the tools and
flexibility to actively manage the content and services for our readers and
enhance their experience with NEJM.org."
"We are very excited and proud to have been selected as the electronic
publishing technology partner for the New England Journal of Medicine.
Publishers understand that identifying users accurately enables them to
deliver more appropriate content in the best context. Our technology is very
effective at doing this and provides an uncommonly rich user experience."
said Georgios Papadopoulos, founder and CEO of Atypon.
