Hi Dusan,
before compiling from source give a try to the following RPM:
http://quattor.web.lal.in2p3.fr/packages/mpi/mpiexec-0.82-1fs.x86_64.rpm
This is what we use on our 64-bit WNs and we are not facing any
problem.
