I have the same version and it is ok on my side.
What i can imagine is that because of authentification problem safari
redirect you to your homepage.
But i try to remove my certificates and redo the same i was not able
to reproduce the problem.
For the CA / crl and my certificate i only double clik on them and
they are in my keychain and safari used them.
But as i told no way to reproduce your problem.
