Fixed. Problem: legacy config files from previous attempt at install.
I had tried installing Shibboleth before, following the circuitous
instructions on the JKIdPInstall page. As I result I had some old
configuration files in /usr/local/shibboleth-idp/etc. I found a log
file under shibboleth-idp/logs and found errors being thrown up relating
to that legacy configuration.
Fixed it by removing /usr/local/shibboleth-idp/ and running ant again to
reinstall.
