Senior GIS Consultant
Job Overview: Involves short periods within the UK and worldwide at
client sites to providing strategy development and project management.
Experience: Pre-requisites for being employed in this role are:
• Education to Degree or equivalent level.
• Proven experience designing and implementing GIS solutions in the
E&P sector using ESRI technology.
• Proven experience of client consultancy, including requirements
gathering, current-state data gathering, analysis and future-state project
planning
• Proven experience of project management.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
Advantageous experience:
• Degree in Earth Sciences discipline.
• Post-graduate degree in GIS or Earth Sciences.
• Excellent knowledge of an industry GIS niche, e.g. Remote Sensing,
Exploration, Environment, Pipeline, CAD, OpenGIS, etc.
• Experience with other non-ESRI based GIS and Image Processing
technology.
• Product development requirements gathering.
• Pre-sales and business development experience.
Working as part of a small team or individually, the role may include:
• Developing GIS strategy and designing GIS solutions for clients.
• Client relationship management, business development, pre-sales
support.
• Project and program management.
• Implementing and maintaining desktop and/or web-based GIS solutions.
• Data manipulation and spatial data processing.
• Developing and delivering GIS training for end-users.
• Business development support.
Day Rate: Negotiable
Salary: £40,000 +
