4. Venue
The meeting will be hosted at the Combined Universities in Cornwall campus at Tremough, Penryn (http://www.ex.ac.uk/csm). The campus was built in two phases in 2003-4 and 2007 (with a further planned expansion in 2009-10) to host the joint facilities of the University of Exeter and University College Falmouth. Tours of Camborne School of Mines research facilities will be arranged.

6. Transport links
Road links to Cornwall are excellent. The A30 is now almost entirely dual carriageway and the A39 links the A30 to Penryn and Falmouth. The journey time is 2.5-3 hours from Bristol, 4.5 hours from London. http://www.ex.ac.uk/cornwall/about_the_campus/maps_getting_here.shtml
Trains run from London Paddington to Truro, with a branch line completing the journey to Penryn or Falmouth, within walking distance of the hotel or campus. Journey time is about 5.5 hours. There is an overnight sleeper service between Truro and London Paddington. Services from other parts of the UK are available via Bristol. http://www.thetrainline.com
Newquay airport is expanding rapidly. This season there are winter flights from London Gatwick, London Stansted, Leeds/Bradford, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dublin, Chambery, Dusseldorf and Geneva. It is about 30 miles from Newquay airport to Penryn and a minibus/coach pickup can be arranged to meet the flights at popular arrival times. Bristol Airport is three hours by road from Penryn and has scheduled flights to Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, France (multiple), Germany (multiple), Netherlands, Hungary, Latvia, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland.
