Hi,
I am a third year student studying a BSc Hons Psychology at the
University of Portsmouth. I intend to do my final year project on Child
Soldiers. In order to carry out this research, I would like to interview
people who have been involved during an armed conflict crisis. I need
to get in contact with people that would be wiling to take part in this
qualitative study.
The purpose of the interviews is to get a better understanding of what
are the social and psychological implications of having being a child
soldier. How people construct, or rather re-construct themselves, and
more particularly, what are their sense of self when having been, at the
same time a child, a soldier, and, thus did assume some responsibilities
normally attributed to adults?
Thanks.
