Dear EHPG members
I've been recently visiting the European Commission's Directorate for Health
(DG Sanco), where there was thinking how to link the idea of linking 'health
and wealth' through health systems (the theme of this month's WHO/EURO
conference) with 'health and wealth' through broader decisions (forthcoming
'social determinants' commission report). An integrated approach could give
strategic support to ministries and DG Sanco.
Is there a health economics group (eg outside UK) that takes a general
European perspective? Is there anyone in the EHPG who has written on this or
might usefully make a presentation in September?
Thanks for your advice
good wishes

Subject: Next EHPG
Hi
The next EHPG will take place at the LSE on September 25-26th, and will
be
on the general theme of health care governance. In order to get a room
to
host this meeting I need to book fairly early, and need an idea of who
is
planning to attend so that I can try to get the most appropriate room.
Those
who have indicated to me that they plan to attend are listed below. If
you
are not on the list but do plan to come, could you let me know. We'll
need
to cap the attendance at about 50 I think.
Many thanks
Adam
