The School of Geography wishes to appoint a research active human geographer with teaching and research interests in urban and political geography, who will join the Urban Cultures and Consumption research cluster (http://www.geog.leeds.ac.uk/research/urban/).
Candidates with research interests in European contexts are particularly encouraged to apply. You will deliver high quality teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including one specialist option module, contributions to team-taught modules, plus tutorial and dissertation support. You will also be expected to participate in an overseas fieldtrip, and to contribute to teaching on the MA in Activism and Social Change (http://www.geog.leeds.ac.uk/mastersinfo/MAActivism/) and the MA in Social and Cultural Geography (http://www.geog.leeds.ac.uk/mastersinfo/MAHuman/). A PhD in Geography or a cognate discipline (or be very near completion), and the ability to demonstrate excellent teaching and related administration capability is essential.
