The School of Geography wishes to appoint an outstanding human geographer whose research interests will complement the work of its Citizenship and Belonging Research Cluster (http://www.geog.leeds.ac.uk/research/citizens/). An ability to contribute to research and teaching on social justice, inequality, and/or "race" and ethnicity is desirable, as well as the capacity to use research findings to inform social policy.
You will be expected to have clear potential to develop an international reputation for your work, commensurate with the School's grade 5 RAE standing, as well as have clear plans for research and funding for the longer term. You will also be expected to take an active role in the School's teaching programme and to play a key role in the life of the research cluster. A PhD in Geography or a cognate discipline (or be very near completion), and the ability to demonstrate excellent teaching and related administration capability is essential.
