Overview of job
Our aim is to be a world class cultural attraction right at the heart of
everything Manchester has to offer. To help us achieve this we are seeking
the following individual with the focus and drive to deliver this vision
here at MOSI.
Reporting to the Senior Archivist you will be responsible for developing,
managing, cataloguing, interpreting and providing public access to the
archive collections. You will also play an active role in the contribution
of the Collections department to furthering the Museum's vision and profile
To succeed in this role, you will hold a first degree or equivalent in
history or another relevant subject and a postgraduate qualification in
archives management or equivalent experience recognised by a professional
body. Demonstrable work-based experience of working with archive
collections and making them available to a diverse audience, coupled with
the ability to plan effectively and deliver to deadlines are also essential.
