Hello, I wonder if anyone could share any ideas or policies on using volunteers in archives with me.
We have been asked to look at the way in which we recruit and use volunteers in the Local Studies and Archives Centre. This is because our authority has signed up to a Compact Agreement on Volunteers which feeds into the National Compact Agreement on Volunteering. I'd be interested to hear whether national initiatives on volunteering have impacted on services (whether single service or joint services). If anyone would be kind enough to share their policy on volunteers then I would be very grateful. Please feel free to reply on or off list, as you see fit!
Many thanks
Larysa
