MEDICAL STATISTICIAN
Research Fellow/Research Assistant
A medical statistician is sought to work on an
MRC–funded project to investigate statistical
methods to quantify uncertainty in
epidemiological studies due to sources other than
sampling variation (e.g. confounding, measurement
error, selection bias, missing data). The
post-holder will be expected to adapt, apply and
integrate existing methods to empirical data, and
to develop new approaches as required. The post
holder will also be expected to contribute to the
School’s teaching programme. The ideal candidate
will have a PhD in medical statistics, excellent
programming skills and a strong interest in epidemiology.
The appointment will be for three years. Starting
salary will be in the range £29,180 to £34,203
per annum depending upon qualifications and experience.
