Stokes Lecturer in Statistics
Expressions of Interest
The University has recently been awarded funding for this position from
Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) under the Stokes scheme. These
prestigious posts are research focussed in the early years with the
expectation that a full teaching load will be carried within five years.
The successful candidate will be expected to make a substantial
contribution to statistical research in the School and to apply as
principal investigator for a major award to SFI, or other funding
agency, within 18 months of taking up the post.
Candidates will require a PhD in Statistics, post-doctoral experience,
and a track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals. Excellent
teaching ability is required and appropriate lecturing experience at
University level is desirable.
