I don't think you need any legal status (whatever that means) in order
to have a relationship to Thelema?
The legal judgments are surely about one particular order and not about
Thelema or the Thelemic movement.
Even if the Caliphate were "Thelemic" (which i seriously doubt ) - its
just part of the equation and
I've long expressed the opinion, along with many contemporary adepts -
that Thelema is mostly represented by non-aligned people.
The OTOs, whichever one you prefer -
are more about "freemasonry" than the New Aeon.
They are in fact "old aeon" organisations.
And others have pointed out the weakness of those who seek
self validation through puffed up orders
(and i've done my share of that too).
In UK its only amongst the non aligned that you get any reasonable
discussion of these kinds of approaches -
which is probably why some are so desparate to silence them.
