The physical/network installation "by the book" is pretty straightforward -
say a couple of hours or so to allow for faffing. That said, you might
decide to place the box behind its own firewall (beacuse you can't configure
any firewalling on the machine itself). Obviously, this config would take
rather longer to setup and need some sort of additional hardware.
Configuring the search, and particularly customising the XSLT for the output
can be extremely time-consuming. However, given that there's now an XHTML
XSLT available* I would expect the requirement for extensive XSLT rewriting
to be reduced.
