Yes, we should all be reminded to exercise our skills as textual
scholars to actually read the 'to:' line of our emails.
Emails are, after all, publications and are *never* private[1], and so
we should always make sure to only say things we are happy for everyone
to hear.

[1] Of course an email between two individuals may not usually be read
by anyone else, but it passes through countless computer servers with
different policies on retention and examination of email. You can pgp
encrypt your emails if you really want some semblance of near privacy.
