Dear John,
I haven't received any formal message, but my informants tell me
that I am to be the new president of STS, which pleases me greatly.
More to the point, I think I am to give an address at the 09 STS
conference, right?
I've been thinking about topics and have one or two that should
work well. Please slot me in wherever I am to speak, and let
me know what I can do to be helpful with this conference.
sincerely,
Jim West
