A free knowledge transfer workshop within the Cooperative Active Safety and
Environment (CoASE) theme. Organised by the Intelligent Transport Systems
KTN and Sensors and Instrumentation KTN.

This workshop will bring the Sensor and ITS communities together, to focus
on the challenges, issues and requirements for the next generation safety
systems.
To investigate technology requirements, emerging technology and
collaborative funding opportunities for research and industry. The
intention is to promote emerging technologies and capabilities, explore
synergies and harmonization issues, align technology developers/suppliers
with market requirements and identify any legislative issues that may act as
barriers or drivers to innovation.
This is your opportunity to hear from the leading sector representatives
from government, industry, Seventh Framework Programme, and academia about
activities, trends, funding opportunities. This workshop will also provide
valuable network opportunities.
The Objectives of this event will be:
To encourage effective cross sector fertilisation of technology and products
to build and foster partnerships.
To create a co-ordinated framework for knowledge transfer in ITS and sensor
technologies and applications.
To promote UK industry and academic capability I ITS and sensor
technologies.
To identify specific sensor needs and key technologies and technologists in
the ITS user community, and funding opportunities available.
To identify key technologies and technologists.
To identify funding opportunities.
