The Institute for Transport Studies (ITS), in co-operation with Dirck Van
Vliet, Atkins and a number of other consultancies, is pleased to announce
that a 3-day Advanced SATURN Workshop will be held at the University of
Leeds, UK from 8 to 10 July 2008.
The Workshop is intended for experienced SATURN users, such as those who
have previously attended the ITS Introductory SATURN course or equivalent.
It will use the recent 10.8 release version of SATURN and one of the main
course objectives will be to introduce participants to the new features of
10.8. It will be divided, roughly equally, between lectures and hands-on
PC-based computer workshops.
The following topics will be covered:
1. Current and future requirements of UK network models
2. Linkages between SATURN and GIS models
3. Network editing, error checking, matrix estimation and improved
convergence
4. Road Pricing and Car Park Charges
5. Linkages between SATURN and microsimulation models including AIMSUN
6. Integrated Demand and Supply Models: SATURN plus DIADEM
7. Evaluation based on SATURN and TUBA
