Hello,
In Birmingham, a relocatable UI installation is made available to all
our desktops via NFS.
Our aim is to make it as easy and transparent as possible for our Atlas
users to submit jobs to the grid, to our local resources in the group
and to our SRIF3 eScience cluster.
Ganga is the natural tool for this. With Alvin, Karl, Pete and Lawrie, we
have managed to make Ganga, Athena and gLite all like each other - not
trivial considering for example some issues with python versions.
Among our tweaks is one which fetches the best RB from Steve's tests.
We have also deployed a UI on our eScience cluster front-end.
Mark Slater has recently started work on a remote back-end which will
allow one to submit grid jobs with ganga from a machine without
a UI.
