We have one dedicated UI machine here at Durham, installed using the
same mechanism as all other grid machines (CE, SE, WN etc) as described
in...

This ui machine is on the local user network, and is setup with local
user authentication and home directories etc. If users want to submit
grid jobs they ssh from their desktop to the ui and then submit as required.
