Nominations for Postgraduate Representative on the Social Policy
Association Executive Committee
There is one vacancy arising for a Postgraduate Representative on the SPA
Executive Committee, with elections to be held at the AGM at the University
of Edinburgh in July 2008.
The SPA Executive Committee meets four times a year to progress the work of
the Association and also undertakes a range of work within working-groups
and on an individual basis during the intervening periods. The role of the
Postgraduate Representative is to advise the Executive Committee on
strategies to increase postgraduate membership and participation in SPA
activities, and to organise and host the annual postgraduate conference and
two other workshops throughout the year. The post is supported in its first
year by the current Postgraduate Representative. If you are interested in
becoming the Postgraduate Representative and joining the Executive
Committee please contact Adam Whitworth, the current Postgraduate

first. Then contact the SPA Hon. Secretary, Tess Ridge
([log in to unmask]) with the names of a proposer and a seconder (both of
whom must also be SPA members) by June 13th 2008.
