Dear Chrissie,

I'm a huge fan of the Skeptics Guide to the Universe, which tackles
pseudoscience and dodgy claims with rational argument.

For a discussion among scientists of the best science podcasts, see
http://network.nature.com/forums/scibarcamp/1241 and

Best wishes,

Matt Brown

Dear Chrissie,

We produce The Jodcast, a twice-monthly astronomy podcast from The
University of Manchester's Jodrell Bank Observatory.

We have been producing our broad-topic magazine style show since January
2006. On the strength of our first year's output, we won Public
Engagement with Science funding from STFC and the IoP to continue in
2007 and 2008.

As part of our reporting required by these funding agencies, we wrote a
report on our progress which includes a summary of two listener surveys
we conducted in 2007. This includes information on who listens to our
show, where, how, as well as their opinion of our show. We have
information showing how our audience size has grown since inception.

We are happy to send this information with you if you are interested. If
you want to listen to The Jodcast, and learn more about us and the show,
please visit www.jodcast.net.

For similar statistics on US/Canada astronomy podcasts, visit:
