Max,
Today when I paid for gas I noticed he was reading a hardback copy of Michael Connelly's most
recent mystery. I told him I enjoyed the in-person reading by MC I attended. Bet he'd get a kick
out of George Pelecanos' mysteries, which incorporate local detail of Silver Spring and DC in a
manner which initially brought Charles Olson's Gloucester to mind. Though I don't think he's
ready to collect my rare first edition of Wole Soyinka's first book "A Dance of the Forests", London:
Oxford University Press, 1963.
