I'd complete it.

Subject: Re: [OCC-HEALTH] Return to work after cancer treatment
Dear Collegues,
It is good to see 'occupational health' and issues to do with 'health and
work' being reported on the BBC News webpage as it all helps to raise our
profile.
The work that I am involved in with Macmillans, quoted in the BBC article,
aims to produce guidance on return to work strategies for people with a
cancer diagnosis, but importantly to try to evaluate the effectiveness of
such guidelines in practice using a randomised controlled trial.
Previous work carried out by Macmillans has highlighted the difficulties
people face in returning to work and currently we are writing up a paper
from a survey of occupational health physicians on their experiences,
views, opinions on the management of employees with a cancer diagnosis.
I would hope to be able to reproduce that survey with occupational health
nurses as their experience of the process may be significiantly different
to that of physicians. One of our difficulties in surveying OH nurses is
the absence of a well defined cohort (such as the SOM for physicians) where
we would have access to a comprensive list of nurses working in the field.
However, would members of this list be willing to participate in an on-line
survey ???
For many people there is simply no occupational health advice available to
them at the workplace, but hopefully these guidelines will go someway
towards helping them return to work too.
Best wishes to all
Stuart
