Hi,
I can recommend kirkbymalham.info it's a good example of a well set up and
informative local history society site with links.
Our own site northcravenhistoricalresearch.co.uk is a bit thin on available
on line info as most of our archive (some 200GB) of local info is in a
public access computer here in Settle, but we do intent to put more of it on
the web as we get permissions (copyright etc is a problem) and find a more
secure method of presenting it. Topics that might need an airing in your
article, most of the best local history Soc's digital archived material is
not easy to put on line.
Cheers

Subject: [LOCAL-HISTORY] Interesting Local History Websites
Hi,
I'm writing an article for The Local Historian on British local history
sites on the web that are useful for research. I'd like to choose five or
six outstanding sites that are worthy of more than just a listing.
Can you recommend any such sites? If so, can you please send their url by
email to <[log in to unmask]> marking the email 'Local History
websites'.
Many thanks for your help.
