I wouldn't like the list to be split as the ILLs that are requested are the
last resort ones. Like others I have only requested and responded a couple
of times but I would not join yet another list if it was just for ILLs.
An alternative way of filtering and avoiding getting your email box clogged
is to join but then send SET NOMAIL to the system. We should be doing this
when we are away on holiday anyway to avoid out of office messages. If you
do NOT reset it then you can then look at lis-medical via your favourites
on the internet by choosing the LIS-MEDICAL archive:
http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/lists/lis-medical.html
I then check it a couple of times a day. I recommend you choose the month
then sort by date - then you can just read the most recent. You can
totally ignore the ILLs if you wish, you can still reply - as I am doing
now - via the archive and your inbox stays clear.
