This full time temporary post is funded from now until end of March 2009.
You will have a psychology degree and a Masters level post graduate
qualification in application of psychology in clinical /health settings,
e.g. masters in Health psychology or Psychological Therapies, and ideally
experience of delivering group interventions. You will join a small but
expanding clinical health psychology team of 4 staff and two specialist
trainees who provide psychology services across a range of physical
illnesses and chronic health conditions. You will be working with a range
of staff providing clinical psychology assessment and interventions for
people with chronic pain problems, and providing input to the established
chronic pain management group programmes. Your role will primarily be to
deliver the psychology elements of the multi-disciplinary pain management
programmes.The Fife Area Psychology Service is a large well provided and
developing service with extensive involvement in training, research and
service development. The adult specialty is staffed mainly with clinical
psychologists but there is a developing skill mix including CBT
therapists, and Primary Care Psychology Associates. Close links with the
Edinburgh and Stirling Universities D. Clin. Psych and MSc courses
continue and your professional development, CPD and research initiatives
