The Health Services Research and Effectiveness Unit of NHS QIS, supports
NHSScotland?s decision making processes to improve the quality,
effectiveness and safety of healthcare.
Due to our expanding work programme which includes work for the Scottish
Health Technologies Group and the Scottish Medicines Consortium we require
an experienced Health Economist to join the team. The duties include
producing rigorous reviews of health economics evidence, developing models
to assess the cost effectiveness of interventions and undertaking resource
and cost impact analysis. The successful applicant will also be involved in
the critical appraisal of pharmaco-economic submissions.
You will have a relevant first degree, a postgraduate qualification in
health economics and practical experience that allows you to work to tight
deadlines with a large degree of autonomy. It?s essential that you have
strong quantitative and analytical skills together with well developed
report writing and analytical skills.
